Coronary Angiography
Coronary angiography AKA Coronary Angiogram; is a procedure that is used to see the flow of blood through the heart’s arteries. For this procedure a contrast material or special die is used before taking an x-ray or scan. A mild sedative will be given to the patient before the test to help him/her relax. This procedure is generally done with the help of the cardiac catheterization. Generally this procedure can last anywhere between half an hour to an hour.
