Dental Bridges
Dental Bridges are used to bridge the gap caused due to missing tooth/teeth. This is a procedure that not only helps fill the gaps between the teeth; however, it also helps to restore the natural shape of a person’s face. The dentist will recommend the type of bridge based on how bad the condition of the teeth is. In some cases, a tooth / teeth extraction will first be recommended before opting for dental bridges.
Why is this recommended?
Dental bridges may be recommended due to factors like
- A trauma to the mouth due to which the teeth are beyond repairs
- The natural aging process which affects the quality of the teeth
- If the patient is diagnosed with a particular gum disease or has tooth decay
- If the bone is shrinking due to the gap
